Why Betamox?
A veterinary antibiotic suspension for injection containing amoxicillin trihydrate at a concentration of 150 mg/ml. It is a semi-synthetic penicillin with high efficacy against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, making it an excellent choice for treating respiratory and digestive infections, joint infections, udder, soft tissue, and urinary tract infections.
Composition
- Each 1 ml of suspension contains:
- 150 mg Amoxicillin (as Amoxicillin Trihydrate)
Method of administration and dosage
- Cattle and sheep: Intramuscular injection
- Dogs: Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection
- Recommended dosage:
- 15 mg/kg of body weight
- That is equivalent to 1 ml per 10 kg of weight
- The dose can be repeated after 48 hours as needed.
- Shake the bottle well before use.
- Use a dry, sterile syringe.

- Meat (beef): 23 days from the last dose
- Meat (sheep): 16 days
- Milk (cows): Do not use during treatment
- Milk can be used for human consumption 79 hours after the last dose.
- Not to be given to sheep producing milk intended for human consumption
